Long established family-oriented dental practice looking for the right dental assistant/front desk receptionist to join our team and expanding practice.

Newly renovated modern, digital equipment with team-oriented, professional staff.

Restorative, Endodontics, Implants, Oral Surgery, Invisalign, Periodontics.

Title: Dental Assistant/Receptionist

  • Location: Village of Pelham, NY
  • Tues 8am-4pm, Wed 9am-6pm, Fri 8am-4pm, and only ONE Saturday a Month 8am-2pm, an increase an hours will be available in the near future.
  • Pay: $17-22 an hour
  • Hours: 22-28 Hours a week
  • Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation/Sick days, dental insurance, uniform allowance .

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and care
  • Assist dental practitioners during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and ensuring patient comfort
  • Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software optimizing daily clinic flow
  • Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and handle billing tasks including medical collection efforts
  • Maintain accurate dental records, update patient charts, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, address patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment rescheduling or follow-ups
  • Support administrative functions such as filing medical records, managing office supplies, and performing clerical tasks like typing reports and data entry using Microsoft Office

Experience

  • Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in documentation review and health information management
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records
  • Experience with insurance verification processes and billing procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting to provide seamless front desk support
