About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of Technology to join their team. This pivotal role demands a technical powerhouse with a strong background in high-level engineering, strategic team management, and client-facing advocacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on engineering, including writing production-ready code and establishing technical standards, as well as leading client interactions, and overseeing the architecture and documentation of technical solutions. Global team management is also a key aspect of the role, requiring the director to mentor and direct overseas development teams to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables. Applicants for the Director of Technology position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a Director-level or equivalent leadership role. Technical mastery in PHP, Laravel, React, React Native, Snowflake, PostgreSQL/SQL/MySQL, Firebase, and AWS (specifically S3) is essential, as is expert-level proficiency in Git version control. The role also demands exceptional communication skills, operational excellence in managing distributed teams, and a strong sense of accountability with a player-coach mindset. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing active development with high-level leadership to ensure successful project outcomes and long-term technical scalability.
