Although this job is remote, we are primarily seeking candidates who reside in PA and VA for regional travel occasionally to client locations.

This role contributes to the design process for financial services projects from concept through construction documentation. Partners with clients to align brand, function, and user experience goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and design excellence. Coordinates with internal architecture and construction teams, and supports project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Brings insight into evolving branch design and hybrid banking environments to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.

Specifically, this role will:

  • Contribute to and help lead the design process from concept through construction documentation for projects within the financial services sector.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand brand, functionality, and user experience goals with an understanding of regulatory needs, banking equipment, branch security and the customer or member’s journey.
  • Independently manage time and workload of own work efforts to meet project task deadlines and commitments, with interaction and direction from team leaders
  • Present design concepts and materials to clients and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of design documentation, construction documentation, construction administration, furniture (FF&E) and materials selection and specifications while adhering to budget and schedule.
  • Research and apply trends in branch design, digital transformation, and hybrid banking environments.
  • Support project schedules, budgets, standards and quality control.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of our company.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture or related.
  • Client-facing experience with a strong portfolio of work in retail (financial institutions, retail banking, credit unions, fintech, etc.), a minimum of 5+ years’ experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experienced with rendering software preferred (3dsMax, Lumion, VRay or other)
  • Working knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a design-build environment with new builds and space improvements is highly preferred.
  • NCIDQ, LEED, WELL AP, or other relevant certifications / licensure a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter comfortable managing tasks independently while collaborating with a remote team.
