SUMMARY

The Material Flow Associate is responsible for preparing shipments for outbound delivery in support of manufacturing operations. This role ensures shipments are handled safely, loaded accurately, and staged correctly for carrier pickup or internal transport.

This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and palletizing materials.
  • Generate shipping documents such as packing slips and bills of lading.
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pickups.
  • Report any damage, missing, or incorrect items.
  • Load prepared shipments onto trucks or designated transport equipment.
  • Verify shipment identification prior to loading.
  • Use approved material handling equipment to move and load shipments.
  • Stage shipments appropriately prior to and during loading activities.
  • Complete work assignments in compliance with Company safety standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support daily shipping schedules.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping and dock areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures, standard work, and loading guidelines.
  • Communicate loading issues or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Capable of understanding engineering drawings and routings.
  • Must always demonstrate positive, professional behavior.
  • Ability to work within a team environment required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Drive a lift truck
  • Ability to use computer programs in an effective manner.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
