Public Relations Manager

We are looking for a talented and experienced Public Relations Manager to join a fast-growing team and help enhance brand presence through strategic and engaging PR initiatives. This key role will focus on driving consumer sales by executing impactful PR strategies that support the overall growth and customer outreach goals. Responsibilities:

• Develop & Execute PR Strategies: Design consumer-focused PR campaigns aligned with marketing and sales objectives.
• Media & Influencer Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to increase brand awareness.
• Product & Brand Storytelling: Create compelling press releases, media kits, and content that highlight product features and company values.
• Consumer-Focused Events: Plan and manage PR efforts for product launches, retail partnerships, pop-up events, and trade shows.
• Crisis Communication: Develop proactive and reactive PR plans to manage brand reputation and address public concerns.
• Social Media & Digital PR: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to amplify PR messages across online platforms.
• Consumer Sentiment Analysis: Monitor media coverage, online conversations, and public perception to adjust strategies as necessary.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer experience teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• PR Budget Management: Oversee the PR budget, develop timelines, and manage resources for PR campaigns.
• Performance Measurement: Track PR campaign success using media coverage reports, audience engagement metrics, and sales impact.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in public relations, preferably in a consumer-facing industry (e-commerce, retail, tech, lifestyle, etc.).
• Proven experience securing media placements and collaborating with influencers to enhance brand visibility.
• Experience in PR strategies that support sales and customer engagement.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations and protect brand reputation.
• Comfortable representing the company in media interviews, press conferences, and public speaking engagements.

Ideal Candidate Profile: We would love to find a candidate with experience in consumer distribution whether through big-box retailers, specialty retailers, or companies with strong brand loyalty such as Nike, Lululemon, or Apple. Familiarity with the Solar Community or having worked in industries with a similar consumer-facing focus is highly desirable.
