Summary:

The Ambulatory PreOp/PACU RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. This position will focus on PreOp and PACU. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 18 months RN experience in the PreOp and PACU areas. PACU experience is strongly preferred for this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

Specific Skills:

• Clinical skills appropriate to position
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
• Preferred Bachelor's Nursing
