Job Description

Turning Point for God is the broadcast ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah and exists to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world. Using Dr. Jeremiah's teaching, we capture, curate, and communicate Bible Strong content through the power of media to share the Gospel with theological and creative excellence. Dr. Jeremiah is committed to teaching the entirety of God's Word to the world, and his teaching is delivered in multiple languages to approximately 3 billion people across the globe through Turning Point's various media channels.

To accomplish this mission, more than two hundred staff across various disciplines are committed to sharing the Gospel and Bible Strong teaching through Turning Point. Position Summary:

The Social Media Marketing Coordinator reports directly to and works collaboratively with the Digital Marketing Manager. This position involves an overall contribution to managing social media communications for Turning Point. This includes aiding with the content creation/curation, scheduling, engagement, budgeting, managing, strategy, promotion, and execution of all social media on various platforms. This person will also engage in the promotion and distribution of the David Jeremiah blog.

Essential Functions:

Social Media
  • Manage and grow Turning Point's presence on Pinterest and identify, launch, and develop new and emerging social media platforms that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee community management by responding to comments, monitoring conversations, and fostering a positive and engaging online presence for Turning Point.
  • Manage ongoing content creation, curation, publishing, and optimization across assigned social media platforms.
  • Create visually compelling, brand-aligned graphics that support Turning Point's messaging, current design trends, lead generation campaigns, and free offers.
  • Schedule, publish, and monitor social media posts, ensuring content is posted at optimal times to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Conduct social listening to identify audience sentiment, emerging conversations, ministry-related opportunities, and potential reputation issues.
  • Perform keyword research to support YouTube content strategy, video discoverability, and website SEO initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop promotional graphics and social assets that support campaigns, audience growth, and ministry objectives and format and adapt social media graphics and creative assets as needed to perform effectively across each platform's specifications and best practices.
  • Research social media trends, platform updates, audience behavior, and new opportunities to strengthen Turning Point's digital presence.
  • Coordinate with the Digital Marketing Manager on high-performing content that may be suitable for paid promotion.
  • Manage Turning Point's digital brand presence across online communities, representing the organization with professionalism and discernment.
  • Assist with reputation management and help escalate or respond appropriately to sensitive or crisis-related situations.
  • Track and report on social media performance, achievements, key metrics, and goals, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members, all levels of staff, vendors, media and the public
  • Must work well under pressure and be flexible
  • Preferred experience with Adobe Photoshop®
  • An eye for what is aesthetically relevant and trending, in order to apply it with the design and brand of Turning Point in mind
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to concentrate on performing tasks, meeting deadlines and handling frequent interruptions
  • Have the discretion to discern the appropriate response to all levels of staff
  • Self-motivated with the desire to and ability to act independently as well as a Team Player
  • Proficiency in computer and software applications
  • Strong work ethic
  • Quick learner
  • Minimum typing 50 wpm
  • Prefer a minimum 3 years' experience in Christian Ministry
  • Preferred previous experience with managing social media platform of a non-profit organization
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms and how to engage and interact with the audience with a customer service mindset
  • Commitment to the vision, faith and values of Turning Point and Dr. David Jeremiah
Education:
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited institution in marketing or related field. Or degree in unrelated field and 1-2 years related experience.
Other:
  • Position is non-exempt, full-time at Turning Point International Headquarters in Lakeside, CA
  • The expected salary for this position is $27.00 to $30.00 an hour. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
